Import an existing podcast
Copy a podcast from its RSS feed into Listenbox and check the catalog before changing where listeners subscribe.

RSS import brings an existing podcast and its media into Listenbox. Start with the source feed from your current host and keep that host available while the import runs and you check playback.
Find the source feed
Copy the podcast's RSS URL from your current host. This is the feed used by podcast apps, rather than the public webpage for your show or its Spotify or Apple Podcasts listing.
The feed and its media must be accessible for the import to work. If an old Listenbox feed no longer opens, contact hello@listenbox.app with the feed URL and podcast name before attempting an import.
Start the import
- Sign in to the dashboard and select your team.
- Open Podcasts → Import podcast → RSS feed.
- Paste the address into RSS feed URL.
- Select Import feed.
If the page asks for a plan that supports the feed's media, choose the plan before continuing. Listenbox copies the source media into its hosting; this is more than adding a link to the old host.
Follow progress
The import page shows its current step. You can return to an active import from Podcasts. When the import is complete, select Open podcast.
If the page reports Import needs attention, read the error before trying again. Check that the original feed and media still open. If you need help, send the import page URL and its error message to hello@listenbox.app.
To stop an active run, choose Cancel import and wait for the resulting status.
Check the imported catalog
Review the podcast details and episode list. Check that the episodes you expect from the source feed are present, including their titles and publication dates. An import can only bring in items the source feed exposes.
Play a recent episode and an older one. Seek within them to check the hosted recordings. Open Feeds and review the feed items and RSS URL.
Move listeners after verification
Importing the catalog and moving subscriptions are separate steps. Test the new feed first using Set up and share your podcast feed.
Before retiring another host, follow that host's feed-redirect process and check your existing directory listings. Avoid submitting a duplicate show when you intend to move an existing one. For an old Listenbox feed, contact us to confirm its handoff before changing listings or telling listeners to resubscribe.
