YouTube to podcast: your questions answered

Can I turn a YouTube playlist into an Apple Podcasts video podcast?
Yes. Bulk import your public playlist as video, then submit its video RSS feed through Apple Podcasts Connect. Once Apple validates and approves your show, viewers can find it in the public directory and watch your video episodes inside Apple Podcasts. Does the hosting support byte-range requests?
Yes. Listenbox serves your feed and hosted media publicly, with HTTP HEAD and byte-range request support. Podcast apps can check files and request part of an episode for playback and seeking. These are part of Apple’s RSS feed requirements.
How do new episodes reach YouTube and podcast apps?
Upload each new episode to Listenbox. A connected YouTube destination lets Listenbox upload it to your channel after you review and approve publication. Once your show is listed, podcast apps check your RSS feed for published episodes. Keep the same feed as your show grows, without uploading each episode to those apps or editing RSS by hand.
Can we keep uploading or livestreaming on YouTube?
Yes. If your team cannot change its publishing process, keep your YouTube playlist or channel linked and use the desktop app for imports. It checks hourly while running on an awake, online computer, or you can choose Sync now once YouTube has finished processing the recording. New imports wait while the app is quit or your computer is asleep; hosted episodes and your feed stay available. Pause any active YouTube destination before returning to imports.
Which YouTube recordings can we import?
Use a public playlist or channel with recordings you have the rights to publish. Completed livestreams work once their recordings are available to play. If YouTube asks for sign-in or refuses a recording, the import guide explains how to continue.
