Upload a finished recording and prepare an episode for release. A video upload also produces an audio version, so your audience can listen when they cannot watch.
A podcast from your existing YouTube recordings
Bring recordings from a YouTube channel or playlist you manage into an audio or video podcast, including saved recordings of past livestreams. The YouTube import workflow connects those recordings to your podcast feed.
Publishing and distribution
Publish episodes to your show’s RSS feed and connect a YouTube publishing destination. Once your audio feed is submitted to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other podcast apps, they can pick up new episodes from the feed.
Moving an existing podcast
Import an existing podcast RSS feed and check its episodes before changing where your listeners subscribe. The migration guide walks through the catalog checks and feed handoff.
Publishing through an API or CLI

A saved recording of a completed YouTube livestream can become a podcast episode through the same import workflow. Bring in past streams from your channel or a playlist without downloading and re-uploading each recording yourself.
One recording, two formats

Listenbox is a one-person company. Adel is a software developer and digital nomad who builds the product and answers support emails, from the original listening tool through today’s relaunch.
The beginning
Lectures, away from the screen
Adel built a small server that turned YouTube lectures into an RSS feed so he could listen on walks. Listenbox began as a tool for his own listening.
2019
A personal project becomes a service
Paid subscriptions turned Listenbox into a software business. The idea was still simple: make recordings easier to listen to.
2020
A publishing workflow for creators
Creator features connected recordings and livestreams to podcast distribution. A creator could make a recording available to listeners on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
2025
A pause, and a reason to rebuild
Listenbox stopped operating when its previous architecture could no longer keep up with YouTube’s changing anti-bot restrictions. The interruption made clear that the product needed a different foundation.
2026
Relaunching as a podcast host
Listenbox is returning as a full audio and video podcast hosting platform. The focus is creator-owned recordings, YouTube publishing, Apple HLS video delivery, and the work that goes into every release.

Create an account, choose a plan, then create a podcast or import your existing RSS feed or YouTube recordings. Our guides take you through uploading, checking, and sharing your first episode.
Review and publish
New file uploads stay in draft until you review and publish them; for an import, check the completed episodes and feed before sharing. Processing time depends on the recording, and podcast apps control when they refresh your feed.

You can use compatible third-party monetization services by adding their enclosure URL prefix to your podcast’s RSS feed. The prefix routes audio download requests through your chosen provider’s service while you keep your podcast hosted on Listenbox.
Can I bring a podcast from another host?
You can import an existing podcast RSS feed. Check the imported media and feed redirect before retiring your previous host; the migration guide covers the handoff.
