Adam Hansen has stopped racing as a pro cyclist but he’s never idle. At 39, he’s decided to build his own bike (at his home in the Czech Republic), complete with a new style of gear shifting and a long list of features that are part of a revolutionary new design.
The aim is for it to be aero rather than light, with a long wheelbase for stability and to allow the rider to feel more centred, and for it to be raced in triathlon competition… including the Hawaii Ironman later this year.
Find out more about the Hanseeno bike by watching this long interview that, I hope you’ll agree, provides some fascinating insight from one of sport’s truly pioneering original thinkers.

Please note: the interview is published 'raw'; it is a verbatim exchange done while I was in Sydney (very early in the morning) and Adam was in the Czech Republic.
